PAYMENT OPTIONS
Payment
Examinations, treatments and the distribution of medication and products are generally only possible upon immediate payment of the invoice. The basis for a veterinary invoice is the GOT (Fee Schedule for Veterinarians). This specifies the basic (net) prices for individual veterinary services, which the veterinarian can then charge between one and three times the standard rate (fees are adjusted annually according to the general annual inflation rate).
Like a kind of "modular system," a veterinary treatment consists of several such individual services. The currently applicable VAT is added at the end. This is currently generally 19%. And for dispensed medications, feed, etc., it is 19% or 7%, depending on the product.
